Dude, those chicks are hot! The helicopter thingy looks to be peddle powered. I guess the thinking must have been that after you get tired, you are in for a pleasantly soft water landing.

I think they call that an Autogyro, I have seen them with wheels pulled by a car before too. Quiet on the hotties!!!! Shhhhhh . . . :D

Edit: I just checked and it is an Autogyro "glider" . . . I think I need one.

So wait, you pull that thing behind your boat and it takes off? That's freeky.

I don't think they would let that on the lake I frequent.

Its like those gyros in the Mad Max movies, except it has no motor/prop pushing it. The blade on top spins with wind resistance and acts like a wing creating lift. The tow boat provides the foward motion in place of a motor.

so has anyone ever actually seen one of these things? i'd freak for sure if i was at the lake and saw one of them things being pulled behind a boat. i do understand what it is, i just can't believe it...probably stay real clear of it when it lands i suppose. that rotor could probably give ya a pretty nice haircut..........like the feela in the blue shirt rideing it in the pic. he musta tried to stand up or something......

hope everyone enjoyed the pic. i just thought it was a pretty odd looking watertoy that was mighty unique......

Whats old, is new. Just wait until a few generations pass, and everything must be learned over again from scratch. Just goes to prove that history repeats itself and kids never learn from their parents wisdom.

To compound things, the new generation is dependant on "instant information" and waiting or doing real research or even ordering a book from the library takes way too much time. I need it now, and if you can't give it to me now, it doesn't exist.

Sad, isn't it?

the autogyros are more popular in the UK; there is even a guy who is developing a hydrogen peroxide powered jet propulsion system for the rotors which is supposed to eliminate the need for the forward propulsion system.
