Movie review "The Kingdom"

This past weekend my wife and I went to a movie. We decided to watch "The Kingdom" starring Jamie Fox and several other actors you will recognize. I would not describe the film as an action movie, however it does contain allot of it. The trouble I have with "action movies" is most of them are not very smart and concentrate on action rather than story. I generally leave them to my 16 year old son who enjoys them very much. "The Kingdom" is more mature. Definitely not a simple shoot-em-up movie.
Without giving it away, Jamie Fox plays an FBI agent leading an anti-terrorist unit investigating a terrorist act in Saudi-Arabia. I found the story very believable and very strong. Edit the political wording out, sorry.
The film was not a brainless over patriotic piece either. It told what was presented as the truth of the story without a political slant in my view. It is a powerful story that makes you remember why the middle east must be stabilized. And it removes all denial about the truth of middle eastern terrorism by putting its effects in personal terms. It will make you think, Edit more political words.
In all a very good film, one I recommend.

And future posters, leave all the political stuff out of this one.
Sounds like a good movie.

Sounds like a good movie.

And just why is the original poster allowed to post certain opinions? Your dis-allowing rebuttal is tantamount to condoning. Does this mean that we all get a free shot if ours is the first post in the thread?:D

I was pleased to see that it did not contain the usual political message we see coming out of Hollywood.
Edit: Notice original poster says did not contain.:D

Thanks for the review...been meaning to go see it, but can't get off the lake long enough. How does it stack up against the Bourne Ulitmatem? I really got into the Bourne movies, and I really think I'll like the Kingdom, too.

Perhaps I did not fully understand the rules of the forum. The opinions and views I expressed are my own and are not necessarily those of the providers of this forum. It should be understood that those opinions are in no way necessarily indorsed by those providers or any other member of this forum.
As it has become clear that my posts can and will be edited if my opinions are considered "political" in nature, I will, if allowed in the future, confine my comments to boating subjects and comments about chocolate cookies. I would also like to state officially that any future comment made by me concerning boating or chocolate cookies are, and will be, my own opinions and not necessarily the opinions of the providers or members of this forum. If any comments I make about boating or chocolate cookies should offend the providers or other members of this forum I would like to invite the offended to kiss my hiney. I would like to add the sarcasm provided here is not intended to be "political" in nature. Boats are cool. Good day.

Thanks and keep posting.

Thanks for the movie review, can't wait to see it.

BTW, I'm very sensitive about chocolate cookies, so watch what you post about them or I'll complain.:)

3:10 to Yuma was a great movie.

My 11 year old kept saying 'This is awesome' throughout the movie. :)
