Absolutely true story! What in the name of all that’s holy is up with the buzzards at the Dutch gap boat ramp on the James River in Chesterfield County Virginia??? I went out Saturday morning at 6:45am, putting in at that ramp for the first time. There were over 100 buzzards at all around me. It was like a scene from a Hitchcock movie. They are big, ugly creatures, but I figured they could do no harm, right? Well, I came back 4 hours later and found my truck covered with bird droppings and the rubber around all the doors and the windshield EATEN and PECKED off! I have to go the body shop tomorrow for a repair estimate.
What kind of buzzards eat rubber? I mean really, what kind of bird is it exactly? And have you ever tried to explain to an insurance agent that your truck was eaten by buzzards? When they stop laughing they start asking if you’re drunk. I was neither drunk nor amused and to top it off I only caught one small largemouth bass.
