fogging question

Hello Folks,
OK got a newbie questions here. I'm in CA and my 18 footer, 3.0 L, Alpha 1 boat is stored in a garage that the temp will "never" drop below 32 degree (confirmed for the last 20 years!). I do intend to use the boat during the winter, so I will not go throught the usual winterizing process. However, I will add stablizer and do the regular maintenance thought.

My boat at top will be layed for about three months. I figure I'll skip the fogging process. Now, my understanding is that fogging will put a layer of oil in your carb and engine to prevent rusting. If this is correct, would it be in my best interest to take the boat out once a month and start the engine to temp to lubricate the engine and such?

Your insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: fogging question

You could save yourself the hassle and just fog the motor, its really simple to do. Take the flame arrestor off, fire the engine and keep spraying into the carb until it stalls.

This would be a lot faster than pulling the boat out and starting it up.:)
