Thru Hull Exhaust

I need new pipes for my thru hull or I need to cut about 2 inches off my pipes now. where could i get new ones and what kind of material should I get them made of. Can I get it from lowes or something? Its for a 350 merc. I have rises and manifolds just need 2 pipes about 2 feet long each......

You could run marine exhaust hose from the risers back to the exhaust tips.

any place I could get some exhust pipe though? also would it matter if the thru hull exhaust stuck stuck 3-4 inches out the back of the boat?

I made my own headers and thru hull parts, I have 3" tube with a shaped flange to outside. See; http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=225270

Most custom exhaust shops have ss available, just make sure it's at least 304 grade. Or do a Google on "3 inch stainless tube supply (+your state)" or similar, it's readily available.

Most people use something like this:

It is screwed to the transom, with the hose that Manipulator mentioned running between the riser and this tip.
