Time to get the other hobbies dood! Winter is awesome! Snowmobiling, snowboarding, ice hockey on the lakes, a big roaring outdoor fire with hot chocolate, sledding down a big frikkin hill, reading a good book by the fireplace, snuggling up with the loved one...

I feel your pain. My boat went into my uncles barn last weekend. Now it's time to concentrate on my other hobby:

Getting some scenery going on my 11'x18' train layout.

dude come down south to the keys plenty of places to stay great fishing year round ,you can go skinny / 12inches water/ get bone fish , redfish, permit/tarpon etc. in 70-75 degree november december january...if you miss boating that much...

Yes it is fair.

I've been in Iowa/upper midwestern summers. It may be short, but it is glorious.

We have to boat 10 months of the year just to catch up.

I feel your pain. My boat went into my uncles barn last weekend. Now it's time to concentrate on my other hobby:

Getting some scenery going on my 11'x18' train layout.

First you need some green turf for that layout.

you have never been in IOWA!, yes, other states have skiing, Cross-coundty trails, lots of stuff I use to do. here it just gets cold with ice! ( not enough snow to even snowmobile). When I lived in Michigan, now that was cool.
Well, I did install a hot tub in the back yard.

and my basement is finished ( that was my last winter project - 2 years ago. the kids dont want to give up the space. If I had my way, I would have an indoor pond to run RC boats. Ever seen the guys Who have pins on the fonts of the boats, ballons on the back, see who can gets who's ballon? Now that I'm off topic, this thread will get moved!

It's also pretty tough to go Ice Fishing way down yonder,.......

I can live boating 9 months a year,......
Besides,......
If I'm not Ice Fishing during those 3 months,.....
It gives me time to do all those Improvements on the Boat that I thought of during the previous 9 months..........

Could be worse, you could be me. Just bought an 08 Glastron GT and won't even be able to touch it till april next year, (short season here in Winnipeg).
