i have a73 85 hp merc that had a wheel trigger got a four cly distributor from a friend this one has a different trigger looks electronic 2 black wires and a brown not black white and brown can i still use this or look for a trigger wheel one thanks for the help Wayde

What applications does the new trigger fit? Sometimed aftermarket stuff is compatable, sometimes not. It sounds like you need to discuss applications with your friend, and maybe the manufacturer of the trigger.

I think the trigger your friend has is off a 70 to 72 800 that use a differant system and won't work with your switch box
