Hole

Drilled 1" hole for transducer cable in transom, what is the best silicon or substance to fill it?

I'd coat a 1" wooden dowl with epoxy...

Do a search at West Marine for "wire caps". They are made specifically for this purpose

seal the edges of the hole. i use 3m 4200.

They make Stainless steel cover to go over the hole and hide it and also keep water out. Above the Water line can seal that with any type of silicon seal.
I could not make myself drill that hole so ran cable over the transom then under the gunnel up to the unit. Someday maybe I will do it.
