Ok, i am going to redo my old grady white. i was gonna just buy another hull untill i took this one out again the other day adn went 20+ off shore and it took the waves GREAT. So i am very impressed with this 30 yr old hull.....BUT it is 30 yrs old. The floor is solid, but the foam is soaked. There doesnt seem to be any rot on the stringers or transom. BUT its 30 yrs old and was stored outside. SO i am going to go ahead and do the floor and transom. Probable will raise the transom 2 inches also. to accomodate either a 20 or 25" shaft motor. Now i would like some input, when i put the new floor in i either want to go with a framed type of bow rider seating or a flat floor ( now it has a raise in it where the livewells are) my questions is when i start to tear all this stuff out will it affect how my hull cuts through the waves? Will the handling be any different? right now it drives straight as an arrow at WOT and cuts throw the worse chop like a hot knife through butter. It is the type of Grady that has the ribbed sides...not smooth which isnt exactly what i want but for the handling i can live with that. another thing does anyone know if this will seperate from the hull itself? like will the top come off?
