Sterring wheel

I have a 96 model Champion bass rig that has SeaStar hydrualic steering. Unfortunately, the steering wheel is a standard 3 spoke wheel design for use with cable sterring, so it's always off-center. It's driving me crazy.

Does anyone here know where I can find a symetrical steering wheel for this rig on-line? I've searched, but have come up empty.

THANKS!!!

Not yet... I was hoping to find an aftermart selection online. I figure Champion will be the most expensive.

You might be right, but it would be the right one I would hope.
Never know with aftermarket items.
Might be right and then again, might not be and have to ship it back and try again.

Do you mean the Name is upside down or something,..??.......

Hyd. Steering Systems are notorious for Not coming back to Exactly the same spot each time.....
You might try bleeding off 1 side,+ it'll return to a different point.......

And even with Cable steering systems,... The wheel isn't Always upright,+ square....

This is exactly why I have a need for a symetrical steering wheel. New boats with hyd sterring already have one installed. The wheel I have is not symetrical and... worse... it is like a sports car wheel with the indentions for keeping your hands in the 10 & 2 position. Problem is with hyd steering, the notches are never in the 10 & 2 position which makes the wheel feel awkward. Also the wheel always looks off center like a car with bad alignment.

A symtrical wheel does not have the indentions and the spokes are evenly spaced so that the wheel never looks cocked to one sode or the other.

Sounds minor, but it's very annoying. So... anyone know of an online store that sells them or have any recommendations besides Champion to get one? There's got to be some sources somewhere.

Hi BirdChaser,

Try www.bassboatcarpets.com. Not only do they have custom bass boat carpets, they have steering wheels, hydraulics and more. They are bass boat specialists.

If you don't see it on-line, email Rick Rosebud, Jr. and he'll be able to help you.
