storing outdrive

I have mine on the floor in my garage. I just painted it for next year. Can I stand it up on the skeg and put it in a closet? Not sure if all the weight on the skeg is ok.

Thats a bunch of weight for the skeg.I built a stand out of 2X4's kind of like a saw horse that holds it under the cavitation plate.Took maybe 30 minutes.

I always worry about knocking mine over. I'd build a stand. Or buy one from bims racing products. Their stand is nice, cause it's wheeled. And you don't have to carry that Heavy B3 all over the place!

Put a "hook" bolt in a stud in the ceiling and hang it up on a ratchet strap. Done and no stand to deal with when the drive is on the boat.
