any ideas? from a cold start my early 80's 14hp volvo outboard with full choke, full carby of fuel, good compression, good spark. won't even look like firing, squirt of airostart (either) which i now know isn't good for 2 stroke's, a full choke and away it fires, once its warms up no problem starting on fuel
carby's been pull down and inspected and cleaned, still won't start!! any idea's fella's ????

Most likely you need to pull the carb apart again and prove that all passages and jets are clear. It would appear that at the least the choke section is
starving.Be sure the choke is closing properly.

Take a mix of oil and gas in a spray bottle and spray into carb. thats much safe for motor

Fuel mix won't affect operation just more smoke and if rich enough it might foul plugs given enough time.
