Re: Could you handle it?

Excellent footage!! I love the calm, matter-of-fact voice of the pilot. "Yeah, I've done this like a thousand times. Relax." Amazing machine and amazing pilot.

Pretty grotesque watching the passenger though. He turned a nice shade of grey, I thought, in that first pull. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much as he said he did. My computer screen is good enough for me. :)

What's left of my feet will stay firmly on the ground, in my vehicle, or on my boat, I will never fly ;). I wouldn't mind driving a nascar stock car at least one time though.

It would have been nice to see a view of the jet from a distance so I could understand the maneuver better.

I think I would enjoy the view and the acceleration. The high g stuff I could probably do without. I guess I'd like to know what it's like. I mean for me it would be a once in a lifetime event so might as well do it all. I'd just hate to ruin it by spewing in my helmet.

I wonder if the pilots wear G-suits during these demonstrations. I would think so. Not worth the risk of passing out during a high speed, low altitude, close proximity run with thousands of people beneath you, each with a camcorder. That's cheating though! ;)

I'd love to try it!
If I ever get lucky I think I'll pass on the wad of gum though, he's lucky he didn't inhale while passed out.
Sweet footage!

The link didn't work on my computer, but to answer the question. Fighter pilots/passangers don't climb in a jet fighter with out a G suit. Thats a death sentence. Was watching the Red Bull air races and they wore a G suit and they were flying prop jobs. I know this from my Navy days. Still would like to have seen the video though, bet it was good....ANIMAL :D

I'd be like Bill Engvall off of his 15 degrees off cool (or whatever the show was named). When he was explaining his experience in a jet, he was hollering mommy, and he said his ears touched each other in the back of his head :D:D:D. If yawl haven't seen that show he put on you should see it lol, it was pretty good.

Lucky to have flown in an F-18 once. Regular training mission, but even we pulled 6 g turns sustained for 30+ seconds. Intense to say the least.

And no, the Blue Angels pilots don't wear G suits. With the maneuvers they fly and precision they must handle the stick, an inflating and deflating G suit would be a huge distraction. This actually became a big issue after the crash this past year, but I'm pretty certain they've decided to still go without the suits.

See it shows you how much of a thrill seeker I am :D. Oh I forgot I also own a 4 wheeler, that is thrilling enough for me lol, open it up to about 50 mph tops and I hardly even do that. And I have fished off of my 4 wheeler, just not parked in the water, that's enough thrilling activities for me I'm happy with it.

I puke on marry go rounds.

To bad that schwans foods decided to shut down the red baron stunt flight team. I saw them at a air show in there open cockpit planes. For a price they would give you a flight. Imagine going straight up in a plane with no cockpit around you.
