Those things were tanks, especially the wide track models. A guy told me that had one "It will do 26 mph wide open on hardpack, it will do the same 26 mph with two fat guys on it while towing an ice shanty"
My neighbors down the hill had a '70 Evinrude Skeeter wide track, had reverse and electric start. We had a really snowless early december, so we plowed trails in the thick cattails with it. The only thing that bogged it down was when the cat tail fluff clogged up the screen on the carb intake. We'd scrape it off and go at it again!
