I have a 1986 Gamefisher 1.75 hp that is really hard to start.
The carb has been soaked, cleaned and blown out.
I found one of the reed valves stuck open with a seed.
My question is:
Does it mater if you flip the reed valves over or are they made only to go in one way?
From being open it had a tiny spot of rust on the surface where it is suppose to close, so I flipped it over to the clean side. Motor will start and stall and really can?t keep it running. I didn?t try flipping reed over back to its original position, was just wondering if it maters?
Any other ideas?
