Hi all... I sound like a total noob... I really want to post pictures of my restoration project but dont know how to post big pictures on the thread...

It seems there are size limitations making the pictures really small.

Re: How to post pictures in iboats

you can up load to a free service like photobucket.com then you choose the pictures you want( clik the little box at the bottom left of the picture) scrool to the bottom of the page, clik generate html, it will take you to the next page, scroll down to thumb nails clik on that and copy, then insert it into your post.

also if you are planing on posting pictures, you can use the Blue post reply or the go advanced, manage attachments, there you can upload , directly from your computer. besure you pictures have been resized to fit the format. 640x480 max.

you can clik on the thumbnails to enlarge the pictures.

Re: How to post pictures in iboats

hmmmm.... ok I do have a flickr account but I'm not sure if it generates an html thingy.

uploading from my pc through manage attachements limits me to a small pic due to the file size right ?

Will putting the html link on the post make the picture appear directly instead of it being an actual link ?

let me try...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/harryradaza/2119757398/" title="1_216305120l by radaza, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2247/2119757398_4ff65fcd38_o.jpg" width="600" height="381" alt="1_216305120l" /></a>

Use just the img code
Starts with http and ends in jpg, gif etc.
But the img brackets around it or hit the big yellow radio button above ^^^^ and insert the http code.
Just remember to back space the http that is in the box already.
I always just use the img brackets myself.

The best place is tinypic dot com.
Just click on upload photo and then click on the picture you want to upload and it will upload it and then show it to you.
Left click the image properties and click copy and then go to where you want to post it and make the img brackets, right click paste and then the closing img brackets,
notice the space in the brackets, take the space out.
It is quite simple once you get the hang of it.

Re: How to post pictures in iboats

hahahha... thanks guys finally figured this all out. this picture was actually taken from what we call a Flovial or sea parade for our local town fiesta. And it actually is a flag he is holding . There were about 100 boats that joined that parade.

I'll try to look for the original picture before I cropped it.

This was when we made it through 10 foot waves which I posted about in this link.

Yes I do think it is pretty much max loaded already... 8 maximum. I have a porpoising problem. Smart Tabs on the way as we speak!
