Hello all,
I just wanted to say thank you to all that has helped me out threw the year on my 1989 Evinrude 88 SPL V-4 outboard and kept me from having to take it to a mechanic to be worked on. I have did the work on it myself thanks to this web site, AWESOME!!! I also wanted to say you all have a very nice Merry Christmas and have a great New Year. I can't wait to get home in March 2008 fro Osan Korea and get ready for the boating season next year when it is warm again. Take care, Bob

So, where is the 88? If in Korea, how ya gonna get her home?

I never served in Korea but had friends that did, during the campaign and subsequently in peace keeping roles as you are doing.

My 88 is back in the states in my garage at Mascoutah, Illinois. I only have 2 months here at Osan and will be home in March. I can't wait to be with my wife and 2 daugthers again and when it gets warm gain I am going camping and boating at Carlyle Lake in Illinois. I have got the boating/camping fever for sure. Thanks Bubba. Things are a lot better today with all the sophistocated electronics and all for you and your family.

When I did my part, letter writing was the method of communications and the problem was that things changed significantly from letter to letter so you never could catch up to reality. This resulted in more confusion than help usually.
