Cobra 4.3L prop ?

Got a 1989 OMC 4.3L Cobra setup in my 17' bowrider. It has a 5.0L upper gear case and the 4.3L lower gear case.( I know , I need to change gears in the upper). Anyway , at the moment I have a 14x19 Aluminum Hustler prop on it. At 6500ft it is running at 3600rpms and 40mph. I realize that the WOT for the 4.3L is in the 4200-4400 range.
I am thinking of going to a 17p prop to pickup some of the lost rpm's. It has a good holeshot now. What do you guys think the change will do to my holeshot/top speed?
Think I should go to a 15p? , I know I am not going to get the right rpm range with the 17p , but I don't want to lose a bunch of my topend speed either.

Ayuh,......

The 17" won't be Near enough drop,........
It might behave alright with the 15",......... It Won't be Over-Reving........

Hey Bondo thanks for the advice!
Ya think it will still have a decent topend speed?
Am I right assuming that the out of the hole performance should increase , or at least be the same I have now?

Coming Out of the Hole will Improve,........
Top End might be Better,..... Maybe.........

I have the hub type prop setup , so the props themselves' are only about 75.00 each. I'll definately get the 15P and probably the 17P also. I can't remember if they make a 13P or not.
I do get to a few lakes that are around 9000-9500ft. IYO do you think I should get the 13P prop also , if they make it?
