I have a invader virada 26.5, with 2 engine 3.0 LX Mercruicer, stern drive alpha one IIgenaration. My propeller are 14x21, I have low rpm 4200 and the speed 31 Knots. Is good velocity, but the starting run is very slow. I need the correct pith or the good combination.

PD
RPM recomended for mercruicer is 4600-4800

Thanks

Are you running aluminium props or Stainless Steel?

Merc props (most for that matter) come in 2" pitch increments. A 2" pitch change usually changes engine WOT by about 400rpm.

Me? I'd look at a couple of Vengence 17" props. They would push you to the top end of the recommended WOT (4800rpm). That will give you good acceleration, and with poorer quality fuels of today will help your engines.

If you are running the cheapie aluminum props that came on it, then dropping the pitch to 19 should bring your WOT into spec, improve your holeshot, an not hurt you top speed, it may even go up, not much though. You could do this for a hundred and change per side.

For about the same money, you could get my favorite aluminum prop, the Hustler. It out-performed the merc prop that was on my boat in every way. Les blowout, faster holeshot and higher top speed. It is a great choice if you don't want to run (or don't want to pay for) a SS prop.

However, if you don't tend to destroy props and can afford it, Stainless is the way to go. See Chris' recomendation above. As much as I loved my Hustler it is now my spare. I am now running a SS shifting prop. Though they are getting hard to come by, unless you are willing to drop $2000 EACH to buy new ones.

Anyway, if you can provide more detail, exactly what props you are running, etc. You will get some good advice from this board.
