How are those little folding motors, are they as good as the non folding ones? There is a 1966 Evinrude on ebay with the case (not a Ducktwin) and it looks almost new. would be nice to have just for a spare!

Same motor, top and bottom, just a different mid section with a hinge. Of course, that means different drive shaft and water tube also.

What is a Ducktwin???? My Grandad has a pair of old motors that look kind of like the one F-R posted, but they have a Mallard drake on the front. One folds and the other won't. It looks like it says fastwin under the duck but both are kind of worn-looking. Could they say Ducktwin? They both run great but I don't like the color and besides that, I'm lying. I've never seen one of those go for less that 300 on ebay, nor have I seen one in person. I want one but not that bad.
I did get about 3 responses on my HD-20 ad on aomci, and I think I'll probably get one if the price isn't that bad (waiting for price). They must be as plentiful as ya'll say...... That aomci site is neat. I do despise the way you post pics on it; I hope they'll fix it I'm going to mail off and get a membership pretty soon. Maybe there's some folks I don't know about in my area that may have some old motors and we can get together and run 'em.

Dang SamOTT, that is HIGH! My favorite 18's only have about 105 to 108 and they run like NEW! One with 115 should REALLY idle smooth and run fast!
One more thing, this duck hunter doesn't paint his motors camouflage! Of course, that guy has his to use and not to cry over every time he gets it dirty! You have got to fix up one of those 2.5's and post a video of it running so I can hear it......I know you can handle the little varmint!

Well, mine run like I think they ran when they were new---15 or 20 years before I was born! By the way, I spotted your 80's 8 hp in your shed......What are you doin' with that NEW motor?

Yeah, it is a late 80's 8hp. I got it real cheap and was on my old sailboat. Right now it has a cooling restriction and the standard problem with those types is the grommet under the powerhead collapsing. And I dont really wanna take the powerhead off so there it sits... It is a Yachtwin... long shaft with a battery charger built in... or power for lights... nor sure which one...
