Anyone out there know how to remove tint from a car windshield? Not the factory integrated kind which I think is more of a shading....but the thin sheet/film kind that is put on (aftermarket) with water, squeegees, etc?
I haven't attempted anything yet but if there are any tricks to it I would appreciate the advice. Barring that....a window razor scraper?...any ideas boaters? Anyone ever tried it? Big job? or?
Many Thanks!!

A razor scraper will work fine as long as it is sharp and not dull. I was just visiting a man the other day that had to remove the tint on his son's car, which he was in the middle of doing so when we were visiting, heck he just about had it all off by the time we were leaving.

There is a spray "tint-Off" but it just softens the bond... Scraping with a razor........... lots of scraping and more of the same

...well brilliant feedback, as only can be expected on Iboats. Many thanks for the links i386...perfect.
I needed to remove the tint off both the drivers and passenger side front windows and a smaller strip on the front windshield top area. The entire operation took about 15 minutes for all three.
I used a window/trim style of razor knife with the square corners. Worked great to get the edge loose...then rest peeled right off. Sweet....I'm done!!
Many Thanks!!
