What year is my mercury 25xd?

I have a mercury 25XD outboard motor that is a 25hp. I would like to find the year that is was made in so i can find addition information on it. Serial# 6510283

1984, but the serial number is more important than the year.

I've got one just like yours, and found some nice parts diagrams on "Crowleymarine.com".

Hi !

In the harbour somebody taken out my number plate (serialnumber) from my old Mercury 25XD. Is there a place in the engine where I can find it too?
I can only see the motor number: E 872-9076.
Can anybody help me?
