I have a lot of stress lately the mariage and the job and mayby the study.

We are out now with the pagen religeous group on weekend of fun selibration.

And for the first time there are more man than woman so we started drinking all ready.

We'll sleep here untill sunday and my fiancee is here too, so no trowing up! But thats what the Dutch scentence ment; no driving here only drinking!!

I saw where a chapter of the fraternity( my son is a member of another chapter) SIGMA NU had a party at CLEMSON last week and one guy drank himself to death. what a shame.

Never saw what people like about getting/being drunk.

Did that a few times in my wild youth and every time it was misery. . .during and after. Not just puking my guts out but being out of control of myself. A most humiliating experience. I was sooooo ashamed.

Vowed to never do it again and have kept that vow for about 50 years now. Oh I still like a beer, a glass of wine or a dram of good Scotch, but as soon as I get the slightest buzz I stop.

I love havin' a bunch of 'bevies with buddies' but I can't stand feeling like crap the next day. I don't overindulge unless there's a good reason to celebrate.
Don't forget to eat and drink some water while you're boozin'... you won't be so dehydrated in the morning.

You know what I hate...I hate it when I go to the bar to have a good time and along comes one of my friends pouring his heart out and you have to put on your psychiatrist hat.

Thats funny it sounds like your alot older than me and i feel the same way.

I guess I wasnt an alcoholic but acted like one for a long time. It dawned on me on day that YOU COULD EVEN HAVE A BETTER TIME IF YOU DIDNT DRINK. Nothing good has ever come from over drinking so I stoped cold turkey. just my 2 cents worth.

I am like JB on this one. Never saw the benefits of getting plastered. Guess I have been on too many rescue calls from people falling off cliffs, wrecking cars, or just had alcohol poisoning to see the joy in getting hammered.

Saturday mornin' check in....where are you Turin?
That said, my days of getting anything more than a mild buzz on are over. I can't stand not being able to function the next day and it doesn't take much to feel 'off' after drinking.
When I was younger, single, etc it was largely a youthful right of passage I suppose. My wife was never much into it in her upbringing and it has never been a part of our life.
If I go with friends, etc I prefer to stay sober and keep a 'fun' eye on them. My body is long out of practice on dealing with any appreciable amount of alcohol.
Hopefully you aren't hurtin' too much this morning Turin.

Had a great night first we seen a film on the beamer that we can use here than it started to snow at 4 in the morning we went out side and made a snow man it is still standing.

Had some nice talk with people we dont see every day.

Not a real hang over I think becouse of the cold and the efford it took to build the snow man.
