Re: Fuel problem.

Kinda looks like an automotive carb with all those hoses and I`d replace that fuel hose with the correct steel line before it springs a leak and you`r nominated for the "Darwin Award" .

Yea, Bt, we went over all that with him when he posted all his pictures. He just didn't listen. But it still won't run.
The carb IS automotive, you can tell by the bowl vent under the little metal box just under the front of the flame arrestor.
What do you want to bet those aren't even stainless steel screws plugging the vacuum lines :p

Believe it or not, I have seen the same setup on many boats.
I've always called it the "WHY Spring"
As in WHY do you have a spring there, when all you have to do is adjust the cable so it will idle?

yep, I think yall are right,(as always) except for the fuel line, I did find a post where you can use marine grade hose instead of steel, I had to replace mine and the steel line in nla,

The spring should be there as a back up(cable breaks or screw falls out) the mount on the other hand ???
