identifing inline six

I have a six the serial # is a150187 the engine needs a stator does anyone know if a 398-5454A7 or A17 will work on this engine thanks

Artie, The starters for those inline six motors are pretty universal. Check for a Sierra or arco aftermarket starter. There should be a application guide. Check with maxrules.com to find out the year, and it should be easy to match up.

I think he was asking about a stator?
We do need to know what horsepower to be for sure. but if say it was a 90 or 115 with that serial number then a A17 was the original PN#
