still smell like roasted oysters

Friday night we did a low country boil, for nephew's 23 birthday, and house warming. after roasting 3 bushels of oysters, i still smell like them. numerous showers. maybe it's just the smoke and oyster juice, in my sinuses.

There is nothing better than an oyster roast. I have one for my employees every November. 18 bushels of singles, 10gal. of venison chili, all cooked over fires, ice cold beer.......mmm. We smell like smoke for days. Many of our friends have roasts throughout the r months, it's a huge tradition here. I never realized it extended to Florida...

some of the best oysters come for the Apalachicola bay in the gulf, curve of the state.

Actually, I would say "the best" (except for blue points but you're not going to be roasting bushels of those!) I don't ever buy our local cluster oysters. To much mud to deal with and not enough oyster. Apalachicolas is what I buy here...of course I guess I should have put the two things together!

Have you tried bathing in Vodka? It will get the smell off of just about anything.

I have only tried Oysters once or twice. I loved them.....just arent too popular here unfortunately.
