S.L.O.W. Mode is a feature built into your powerpack that lowers the speed by shutting down half the cylinders. It is triggered by overheating, but also by lack of oil, fuel obstruction, shift assist switch, and other things.

Worse case is that your fuel/oil mix has not reached the engine and you are running on pure gasoline.

Best case is that you have not disconnected both sets of wires. One comes from the oil tank, the other runs from the pump to the main engine harness. Sometimes that disconnect is tucked/hidden behind the black box for the tilt/trim electronics.

If you are running on pre-mix fuel, there is no way raw fuel can reach the engine. Did the engine run alright before you disabled the oil pump?

"...there is no way raw fuel can reach the engine...."

It sounded as though you had just made the change-over, which is why I mentioned that the pre-mix may not have yet reached the engine.

Every set of instructions for changing is clear that you run the oil tank and premix together until you are sure that the premix has made it all the way to the engine, but that does not mean that everyone does it.
