Yesterday I noticed my boat cover was starting to sag, so I went over to fix it. I then say there was a rip in it on the side facing away from my house (I would have noticed this sooner if I could see it). NOW THE FUN, about two weeks ago we got some rain which of course froze being in Wisconsin. Now my whole bilge area and the cubby in the floor is one big ice chunk!! So now its in the garage with the heaters on it.

WOW

How full is the bildge and ski locker? Sounds like a lot of water but I think if you melt it all out you will be ok. Just put the boat in the garage bow end in and stern out, open the bildge drain plug and wait with a broom so you dont have a flood in the garage.

good luck!

Re: MY boat froze!!

doesnt sound too bad at all.....

I once had a boat that had a leak and the ski locker was over filled with water the next morning on a weekend I camped over night. Ill never forget that sight.

I did take my 185 out tonight. Its been sitting since November. Started right up and hauled ***....I guess with colder water I can go a lot faster. I used to be able to do close to 55mph, tonight I could have done over 60 if I got on it.

Re: MY boat froze!!

did the water/ice cover any part of the motor?.....ie oil filter...bottom of the block.....oil pan?

when the ice block thaws ....check those areas for damage.....and any hoses that may have been down low.

but 98 % chance yer fine
