I am installing a new trolling motor. A 60A circuit breaker is recommended. Can I use a fuse instead?

Sure you can use a fuse. But carry extras. Fuses are one time devices and the first time you get tangled up in weeds the motor begins to draw excessive current and pop goes the fuse. An auto reset breaker is a better idea but are a little harder to find.

I would either use a fuse or get a MANUAL reset circut breaker. An auto reset circut breaker is not recomended due to itresetting and comming on at a unknowen time. Safety issue!
