Solarskin bimini from Cabela's---quality???

Has anyone here purchased a Solarskin bimini top from Cabela's? I think it's their own brand. I've done a few searches and only found two customer reviews. One raved on how good the top was, the other panned it completely. Thanks in advance. ........... or should I just get a Sunbrella?

Hey, good question. I am also in the process of buying a bimini top for my boat. Are you going to install it yourself? What about aluminum poles versus stainless steel, worth it? What size is your boat?

I have a 1997 Regal 1700 LSR (17'). I'll be doing the installation and I'll be going with aluminum. Main reason... Cost! Trying to keep cost down for my wife's sake!

I have delt with Cabelas for almost twenty years and love them. Never one complaint. If this top is carried by them, they will stand behind it (within reason, of course).

I just called Cabela's and they don't carry these in their stores. Would sure like to see one or get more feedback before I decide. Could always return it if I'm not happy with it I guess...

Finally bought and installed the bimini. After a lot of research, I decided to go with the industry standard... Sunbrella. Here's a shot of it:

Finally bought and installed the bimini. After a lot of research, I decided to go with the industry standard... Sunbrella. Here's a shot of it:

Nice looking top! I get down to travis every now and then. I keep an eye out for that cool boat.

Thanks for the comments. She's only 17', but she's a lot of fun. We haven't named her yet, but I'm thinking of "Size Doesn't Matter"...
