I have a 2000 Four Winns 238 Vista Cruiser. This boat did not have an electric windlass option when new. I would like to install one and I have contacted Four Winns about what they might have available. They have nothing, so I'm going after-market and don't know what to expect. It's going to require mounting into my anchor storage compartment at the bow and then all of the necessary wiring, switches, breaker, etc. Anyone have any experience with installing a windlass and the potential pitfalls?
