Thanks, JB. I like the site and look forward to visiting frequently. Got any idea what one in immaculate condition is worth?

they are really hard to price, for a weekend runner, $200-300 here, for a decorator, or collector, and immaculate who knows.

I appreciate the input. A consignor brought it in to our antique store - said it was a 1965 model - and wants $350 bottom dollar for it. I just wanted to verify its age and value. Ya'll have been very helpful.

That may be realistic, depends on where you are. Prices are higher where water and motors/boats are scarce, cheaper where they are plentiful. Old motors are worth what the other guy is willing to pay on any given day...same as for other goods...beauty/value is in the eye of the beholder and varies greatly with time. Down here in Tejas, a pristine 54 Fleetwin would bring $350-$400...up in the Midwest lakes country, considerably less. Beat down to the nub, worth about $100 less.

I just bought a 1954 in good original condition for $60 running and have turn away many others for less. $350 is way too high for a consignment. You'd be lucky to get $250 where I am.
