Here's the offer to me.

Trip to Alaska for King Salmon in Late May or Early June?
I can take up to 12 people in 2 cabins. Cost is $745 per person. That is a reduction in price of $50.00 ...
NOW here is what is included in that.
3 Guided Fishing Trips for Salmon on the Kenai and Kasilof rivers.
One Week in a Cabin ON the Kenai River.
I can currently arrange flights through Priceline for around $600.00 and you will need a rental care for each 4 people. Cost is around $95 per person. Add in food and gasoline and you can go for around $1600.00
I need to know in 30 days if you want to take this trip in order to arrange the airfare at the prices indicated.
You will fly into Anchorage Alaska. Drive to Soldotna where the lodge is located. Stay Saturday to Saturday. There is a Full Freezer for each cabin. Most likely you will send home at least 100 pounds of Fresh Salmon.
No tackle is necessary, but you can bring some of your own. Guides have tackle and the lodge has tackle for rent on the river.

I've never been to Alaska and since I'm now retired this looks like a perfect trip for me to take. Any opinions beside all of y'all being jealous about me going.!!:):)

When you get it all set up. You need to make sure I know the dates. I can arrange to meet up and we can have a good time.

If you are doing 3 guided trips, that means there are 4 days available.
Call either "Heavenly Sights" or "Alaska Coastal Marine" and arrange a halibut charter too.

The 1st week of June has the best tides for salmon, the 2nd week of June has the best tides for halibut. There will still be plenty of fish in the river the 2nd week of June.

You will most definitely have fun!!

Ak: I'll let ya know when I know. Yes, I'll probably also do a halibut and/or ling cod trip too.
I'm fishing for crappie for 10 days at Lake Barkley in Kentucky the 2nd week in April and then 4 days in the New Orleans area for red fish the last week of April. So far, retirement has been no problem!!!:p;)

More info on trip

Well here is a sales point..
Salmon from the Ocean / River is delicious. It ain't your Supermarket Ranched and dyed Salmon..
King Salmon are around 40 pounds on the Kenai on Average.
If you catch your limit each day you should come home with 6 fish minimum.
That is 240 Gross if they are average. Trimmed and packed that is around 190 or 200 pounds of salmon. Tell your wife you will have Friday Dinner covered for at least 2 years and plenty left over for friends and family to make a contribution.. We can even add on a Halibut Trip if you want and that is going to be around 50 more pounds. Stop at get some King Crab to add on .. and well you got the best seafood you will ever have and a GREAT trip. Heck bring the wife and double up on what you bring home. The Cabins are fisherman cabins. NOT Luxurious. Bed and a Stove and a Bathroom. Bed is comfy, but no TV or other amenities. Plenty to see, nature wise. Golf Course down the road.. see www.alaska-golf.com for those days you finish fishing early. MIGHT have computer access in the office or nearby with Wifi.

Great place to fish. I go up every year in early June. This is the good thing. It only coasts me the price of a ticket and license.

Nice to have college friends that live in Alaska.
