I recently received a card from the North American Hunting Club. In bold letters across the face it read:

LAST CHANCE: LIFE MEMBER BENEFIT EXPIRES SOON

 How much longer do I have? My wife wants to put me on a diet and exercise program ... Thanks NAHC! All they were really telling me was the knife they were offering to life members would be taken off the table soon, but I think they could have come up with a better way to tell me!

North American Fishing Club wanted me to get a life time membership. Wow, did they pressure me with mail and phone calls.
I finally told them I had an incureable disease and had only 3 months to live. They stopped calling!!!

I get those about every 6 weeks from them...The phone calls finally stopped. In the kit they sent me it came with some hunting coin, and a lifetime member patch....I wonder how much $$$ they waste just in these mailings that just get thrown away like mine did.

I give the mail to the grandkids. They like the stickers and junk they offer. Then when they call,,,,,,,,,,,yep, they get to talk to a 4 or 6 year old. I don't know when they hang up, but the kids really fill the ears full sometimes. :D

I'd be carefull with this - never know who is on the other side of the line. They do outsource this sort of thing. Sometimes to India, sometimes to the Indiana state penn..

I got on their mailing list once. I had to move with no FA, in order to lose them. Please don't tell them you heard from me, they think I'm dead.
Even "witness protection" is not safe from them.

When I get a call asking for money, I tell them I'll be glad to help out as soon as I find a job. "You got any openings there?" I ask, and they can't get off the phone fast enough.

Here is an idea that works.......

Are there emenies in your life of people who need a bit of payback? Give their name and number out when you get a call. The NAHC will use your name and explain that they were given your name due to the "high amount of interest".

Re: Do they know something I don't know?

During a recent "Out Of Work" stint I picked up some temp work in Rogers ,Mn. where those North American membership kits are THROWN together and mailed.

I accentuate the THROWN because the people working there make 10 to 11 dollars an hour and between two "kit lines" they package 2,000 to 2,500 "kits" PER 8 HOUR SHIFT.Literally THROWING the stuff in to boxes and stacking them on skids.

Hunting,Fishing,Golf,Gardening,Motorcycle Riders,Motor Home Owners,Fitness Buffs,Kitchen Club and on and on!!!

They try to get as much as $500 from what I heard. What a racket!!!!
