I'm a new member here and after reading on here for several days I realise this is a fantastic sight, there's countless useful information here.
My question is: I am restoring a 1991 JCmfg pontoon. One of the things I had to replace was the control box.I found a great OMC top mount unit on ebay, complete with the lanyard,2 keys,20' extention on the(big red plugs) power cable, and another length of wrapped wire included in the shipping box with a red/white,green/white,blue/white,black/purple,and white wire with open ends, obviously to run back to the motor for??Along side the main power cord,is another group of (3)wires that are green, red, and blue with a square plug on the end. Is this group for the trim /tilt? Also,3 more wires come out of the control box, they are purple, black and grey, are these for a tach?
Any help on this would be appreciated as Ive looked in the archives but havent found what I'm looking for yet.
