Another Storm (Upgraded to BLIZZARD)

Thursday morning, the local radio station was forcasting by Saturday,,,,6 to 12...By the afternoon,,,7 to 14,,,,,,,This morning 9 to 14 inches of snow,,,,,,And it looks as if we are right in the middle of the path. Thursdays 40* melted all the ice/snow from the earlier storm. Guess it is making room for the fresh stuff. I don't care as long as I'm able to lauch my boat in liquid water in April

We had 45 yesterday but I still have over a foot of snow on the ground. I live on a northern facing slope and RARELY see the sun.

Yes another storm is coming.... I gave up counting. March is the snowiest month in VT (historically) so, I do not get excited too soon.

I am enjoying the longer days.

We have not had a decent snow yet.

You should feel lucky that at least your lakes will be full this year.

Our lakes are frozen (14-48" of thick ice).

With the heat yesterday (Yes in Vermont 45 is considered Heat!) we have been having flooding. The ground is still too frozen to accept the run-off of water.

The next scheduled season is actually our 5th season.... Mud season.

I know how that goes, the side yard hasn't dried out all winter. it's had anywhere from 1/2 inch to ankle deep standing water all winter. I'm afraid it'll kill the grass.

i think it was 3 years ago we had 3 tropical storms, in a short period. my spare truck was in the backyard, it took 3 weeks for it to dry out enough to get it out of the backyard. 4 wheel drive, would just sit there and spin.

Just recovering from Tuesday's floods and now they are saying that instead of the snow that SS is going to get, we are to get about 2 inches of rain! Look out for more flooding ... ground is still frozen a couple inches down.

I feel your pain guys. The wind, cold temps and rain has kept me in away from the boats for too long. On top of that, the the spring boating catalogs have arrived.

It looks as though it will be warm enough for me to get out and replace the impeller on the 85 horse Evenrude next week. Maybe the wind will drop enough to take it out afterwards. After all, a stock tank is not enough to test the repair thouroughly right?

May we all have better weather soon.

They said it was going to start around noon,,,,,uh,,,,it started around 9 am. 1/8th mile visibility and it is coming down quick. I got called in real early this morning 4 am to get things fixed before the storm. Boss said I would be home by noon due to the snow. Well, after traveling out of town to service a store that ususally takes 20 min, it took me 45 min. I got snow tires and my van does pretty good. Its just those that have regular street tires that just doesn't do well in the snow. Meanwhile, I finally got home at 3. Glad the day is over.

Oh well,,,,,,they expect our area to get between 10 and 14" now plus winds of excess of 35 mph. I wish everyone the best.......SS

We're expected to get at least a foot of snow here in New York. I had really banked on global warming by now and fully expected 75 degree winters in upstate NY. Please everyone, burn as much fossil fuel as possible so I can keep boating all winter long.

Here in Upstate land it started about 2 hours ago and it is coming down at a good clip.It seems that we are in for well over a foot.

Yea started as rain here today and now is switching over to what feels like sleet and then later on suppose to get snow on top of that.
Wow!!! What a night to have to be out in.

Only 90 cm {about 2 3/4 feet} short of a record year of snow here...Only getting 40 to 50 cm tomorrow snow banks are only 11 feet high OH well April is coming The Great white North forsure this year

Pacific Northwest...same old-same old....bit of rain, mild temps....not feeling too much like spring just yet (getting tempted tho'!!).
No snow, which is not unusual...so I'll take it.

We are now in a level 3 emergency!!!!!!That means stay home unless it is an emergency. I haven't seen it like this since 78. BLIZZARD CONDITIONS... Wife woke me up to take her to work. IT AINT HAPPINING The snow in my drive is 14 to 16" deep. I'd have more luck taking her to work in the bucket truck, but it hasn't been moved for about 8 weeks. The hospital told my wife not to even try to make it in. Besides with being in level 3,,,,I'm not taking the chance.

I sure wish I could invite that guy named Al over for a visit. I need some firewood cut and split!

Rain here - saying it will change over to snow this afternoon. 35 - 55 mph winds then. Wish it had all been snow ... creeks are extremely high again and we can't take any more water in them ,,,

Tornadoes, tore up one of beautiful, small town, total of 7 in North Fl, 3 in Georgia. pick up an old frame house, and laid it on it's side totally intact. can anyone say Wizard of Oz.
