This past spring i mounted my yamaha 115 with 3M 5200 aon the bolts and in the holes that the bolts go through the transom. Well i was taking the motor off today and i got the bolts off and all the way off the motor and transom. Well it shocked me but the motor stuck to the transom with just the 3M 5200 and that it!!! I had the motor supported so that way i could take it off but it stuck to the transom with just the 5200 on it and it did not come off!!! I was so supprised there is nothing holding this motor on but the 5200! There is a 2 inch gap at the top of the transom to the top of the trim housing so it was not that holding it on. JUST 5200 AND THATS ALL. JUST 3M HOLDING THIS MOTOR ON AND THAT IS ALL!!!!!!!!! Here are some pics of the bolts removed!!!

The last pic is where i started to jack up the motor and the 3M started to finally seperate! It took a lot though the boat almost started jacking up when i was trying. There was no bolts though!!!!

5200 is poly eurethane, I have seen a 15' bead on each side of a 4 ton piece of precast concrete keep a crane from pulling it off the building.
