Fish Funder help

I'm looking at upgrading the fish finder in my bass boat. I'm looking at paying in the $200-$300 range. Any suggestions on which to get would be greatly appreciated. Right now I'm leaning towards the Lowrance X96. Does anyone have one of these or can anyone tell me about this model? I've read good things about this model, but think I might like a color fish finder. Any help or suggestions about the Lowrance X96 or other models will help greatly.

I`m caught up in the same dilemma too.

I want to replace my X75.

Been looking at either the Eagle Fishmark 480 or Lowrance X96.

The 480 looks like a better deal.

Then I`m wondering if I should wait and go color, having to replace my 4800 globalmap as well?

Money is always the issue.

My global map is only a couple of years old. Placing a color graph next to it is going to make me want to replace it too $$$$$$$$$$.

A new monochrome graph maybe the smarter choice for me. Then again my X75 still works great.
