Yup LOTS of high winds, Rain and Ice..... Snow about 10 miles north of me ....... we were on the divider.

It finally quit snowing here after 36 straight hours of the white stuff. I do know that there is (or was) at least 18" of the stuff in my driveway. Our little town was in the middle of the path.

Got the wifes Explorer dug out and the drive. Snowblower was working fair and got the most of the drive cleared unitl it competely died. It was the last 12' x 36' area that I ended up shoveling by hand. Ohhh how my body aches today. The hard part was the stuff from the where the states salt trucks plowed. That stuff was heavy and deep,,,,,,about 2 1/2' deep. At least my wife was able to get up to her job at the ER.

We got nailed hard here, but we are use to bizarre weather events in this area. At least this storm was NOT near as bad as the one in 78........SS

Bad here as well. Very thankful for 4WD yesterday. Left the driveway alone until it stopped and my neighbour came over with his 4 wheeler and plough on the front as he usually does. I help him with any troubles he has with any mechanical equipment he owns and he keeps my driveway clear. I have not shovelled in over 5 years.

We had 2" rain on Tuesday with 70mph wind gusts. Trees down everywhere,roads closed,power out,etc.... Friday night and Saturday morning 4-1/2" rain and 50mph wind gusts today. 3months worth of rain in 4 days!!!! The creek next to me is ponding on my street! I'm taking a break from vacuuming up the water in my basement as I write this. Two 1500 gph pumps couldn't keep up with the ground water. Ankle deep water everywhere. Ten degrees cooler and I'd be shoveling till June!!

Spent all day Sunday blowing snow ,we got 2 feet of actual snow then the difting 11 foot banks of snow now on either side of my driveway......The 2 neighbours owe me lots of beer for cleaning them out...good thing they only have single driveways My back yard the snow has reached the top of 8 foot fence.....Guess I won't be BQ'in for a few days as it's under 3 feet of snow on the deck now.....What a mess and no more room to put the snow COME ON MAY

I dont know about you guys but Im sick of this stuff. I know I live in WI but, this is overboard. We have 2 ft still on the ground, but the frost is out of the ground all ready. That means only minor flooding around us.


Make sure all of you take care of your roofs. Ice dams are horrible and can do a ton of damage.

Good luck to those who need to dig out and for god's sake dont just dig a tunnel for the dog to go potty.....
