when did john/rude change to CDI on their small (5 to 9.9) motors
when did the oil ratios change from 24-1 to 50-1

From the Evinrude website:
"The following is generally true: 1958 and prior used 20:1, 1959 thru 1963 used 24:1, 1964 and newer use 50:1. High performance usage (racing) requires a ratio of 25:1. New engine break-in (not DI) requires 25:1."

Not sure about the CDI change, but many models changed in '77.

cdi i don't remember, oil rule is 1964 and newer 50-1, 55-63 is 24-1, prior to 55 is 16-1.

there are a couple of guys here that are into the mature motors, hopefully they will know.
