Poll?

What ever happened with the used parts for sale poll? And is there any chance on adding a chat to this forum? How about a poll on that? Thanks Iboats

A chat feature would be nice , but , they can be a PIA to moderate/monitor , and , most folks just use an IM these days anyway .

As for the used parts for sale , the owners and administrators of this site do not want the potential headaches and liabillity that go hand in hand with such things .

I like the idea , but , I also understand WHY it is not permitted .
I'm sure 1 or more of our illustrious MOD's will chime in soon and tell you the same .

The for sale forum is still being tossed around by Admin.
The chat thing is a no go.
Way too many places out there to chat if one wants, or IM of one type or another.
But like beerfilter points out with his link, just one of the problems with a for sale forum.
A bad deal spills over into the forums when it should be taken care of in private.
I know people likes to rant about different things, but some things are best kept private.

'ell,..... I've been "Chatting" with 2 boat owners for the last 30 minutes,...
As soon as the refresh button is pushed,... It's time to reply.....
This is about as Fast as I can reply anyways,.....With only 1 typing finger....

the pm system makes a pretty good communication system alone.

as SBN said the use parts is still in the list of things to do, of our computer guru, who keeps us up and running.

Thanks guys for the info and heads up on this. Just curious. Bondo, I kinda one finger type too but sometimes it's like forever to talk back and forth about a certain subject. Oh well thought i'd ask.
