I'm selling my old 4 Runner today. Its a 1993 with 347,000klm on it and the odometer stopped working 2 years ago. This little truck has packed my but and my family up past the tree line in the mountains and down to the ocean "and every where else to boot" way to many times to count. I think in the time i have had it Ive maybe put in about $1500 in repairs. The rust and the klms have put there toll on her and its time to put her out to pasture.:(

On the plus side last week i got a new tow truck for my boat. Its a 2007 Ford 150 crew cab with the 5.4L. :D Gas mileage is not that big of a deal for me becouse i live in the country and have no stop and go traffic. Plus every thing is close bye.

Im going to miss my old truck but i need the room in the yard.

Re: My old girl

Five months ago we got a new 4Runner after reading all of the good reviews and talking with someone who has one. Hopefully, in 15 years we'll be able to post a similar message to yours.

Congratulations on your new F150. Hope you get many years of service out of it as well.

Navy Jr the biggest trick is do the matince on it. When i worked for Toyota as a mechanic, some days i would feel like the Maytag repair man on TV.
Thanks for the comment on my new truck. As its my new favorite subject.

Thats great service you got from it. I hope I can post something similar in the future. Currently my GMC Jimmy has 278,000km on it and I am hoping for much more from it.
Good Luck with the new one.

I drive a 2000 4Runner and I love it. Just the right size for my needs ...... and I do work at a Toyota dealership.... I do all the required maintenance at the dealership. They run like clocks!

Puddle, I feel for ya'....at least you can bring yourself to sell it.
I've still got my '91 4-runner....and I'm having a hard time considering letting it go. It has the 4cyl. 22RE/5spd drivetrain....fantastic. Good mileage (20+ city)...unbelievable reliability and quality even after 260km (approx. 165k miles)
I recently bought a late model Duramax H.duty truck and it has not grown on me....yet....the way the 4-Runner did. The Duramax is a great and capable truck but it has big shoes to fill in replacing a Toyota I'm afraid.
These are great vehicles, I would recommend them in a minute to anyone.

Can't beat a Toyota that is for sure, I had a 94 DLX pickup had 177,000 miles when I sold it, I also had a 91 Toyota celica, it had 350,000 miles when I finally sent it to the bone yard.. It went through 4 timing belts and many oil changes...
