help please.....

one of our gurus....did a fantastic post a while back...in oct-nov i think....

it was on engine hp and drive and prop pitch.....he calculated therotecial speed

explained the whole 9 yards...perfectly......
graphs...charts....

i have spent an hour searching...dont remember who...might have been don himself....i cant even remember the name ot the thread!!!!!

i was hoping it would have been postes as a faq.....

does any one know what i am talking about?....

and can ya point me in the right direction?

I was thinking through a lot of related things around that time and bookmarked a few of the threads... These might include the one you're interested in or at the very least may include what you're looking for.

The second one had a lot of really good information regarding prop slip, speed and gear ratio issues... largely in answer to some of my own somewhat niaeve perspectives and questions... The third one was also really good.

yep on third one... actually printed a good portion of it off and added it to a notebook I have been putting together while thinking through my own "mess". Thanks to the posters 45auto especially...
