My Boat is a CAJUN 1900 FISHMASTER CENTER CONSOLE with a 150 YAMAHA

First I want to say if it wasn't for my brother and 1st cousin I never would have started a project like this. I was warned before I started that I might open a can of worms. Well I did, not only was the floor bad I have two bad stringers. The boat is not very large but is sometimes feels like, what was I thinking. I just know that we all love to fish.
Removed Center console all wires, removed floor, removed foam (was like Concrete), removed old carpet, cut out one stringer still need to remove another one, any ideas of what type of wood to use for the stringers, and the floor.
I have been reading all the how to books and also getting advice on how to. Just need some ideas... Thanks

and btw...tashasdaddy answered your question.....

you can use other products.....like pressure treated plywood....a composite stringer system....ect...ect...ect...the list goes on forever...each product a little more complicated than the last.......

the above (td's) is the simplest..prooven material

Re: Replacement Floor & Stringers

Personally I would just use exterior grade douglas fir plywood. When I did my project I priced out marine ply and it was way tooo much for my budget. Did not think it was worth it. You can use DRY pressure treated if you like but that is another debate. Just do a search on the topic and you will be reading for days. Then you can make the decision which you feel is right for you.

Have a great day,

Rob.
