Morning everyone. Last year I took my best friend out on my boat maybe 5 or 6 times. He never would go out before because of fear that little boats just flip and sink then sharks come along and take one bite every hour. Now that he has come to see the great fun and closeness it brings to familys, Her is going to buy his new boat today. (yes, I saw the money order last night.)

He is getting a Striper 2101 bow rider 08 with an 08 225 E-Tec.

He loves my Wellcraft but hates my dealer. (cant say I blame him) The marina where he is purchaseing is where I now get all my service work done and could not be happier.

He is starting a boater safty coarse in 2 weeks and I am going to join him for that as a refresher. I am so thrilled to bring him into a sport that we all hold dear to our hearts.

Nice looking rig. Our new boat came in last Friday (3/21/08). They still have to add the Lowrance 520C, the Minn Kota V2, bow rails and swim platform, so probably won't get it for another week or so. Besides, the water up here in the Twin Cities is still kinda hard. I need to wait until marker buoys are set and docks are put out anyway, so not in any hurry to get the boat.

The Coast Guard boating safety course I signed up for was canceled. Twice. Gave up on them and signed up for similar course put on by Power Squadron. Starts a week from today.

Hope you guys have a lot of fun in that new boat. Safe navigating to you!

Very nice ride. That e-tec looks very smart hanging off the back too!
That's a fair bit of power for a first-timer. Be sure to go out with him and pass on the benefit of your experience with handling (and trailering, if that's going to be in the cards too). Tell him to enjoy from all us jealous slobs on iboats! :D
