While out on the lake last Saturday I started having trouble putting my boat in gear. I took it to the local boat shop to have it checked out. They called me yesterday to say I had fishing line wrapped around the prop shaft and the oil seal was damaged and leaking oil. First of all could this have caused the shifting problem and what kind of damage can this do to the lower unit?
