It shifts fine into all gears, and while in reverse in will engage and move, but if you give it a little throttle, the motor revs, but the speed doesnt change while in reverse, forward works fine, any help would be greatly appreciated, and its my first post:D

I'm not an expert like the other people are in this forum, but start with removing the motor cover and then put the shifter through the motions and look to see what is causing the problem.

Everything seems to be moving fine under the cover, like i said it goes into reverse, and moves, just doesnt go any faster in reverse when the throttle revs, forward gear works fine

When you put it in reverse and give it gas, doe's the motor rev up?

If it is a dual exhaust or a through-hub exhaust engine, you MAY be sucking back exhaust gas and ventilating the prop. The faster you try to go, the more the prop will ventilate and the slower you will go. Sorry! I don't know of a cure for this.
