Mercury 2001 50 hp Gauges

I recently bought this Mercury 2001 50 hp ELPTO motor, I installed it my self, and I would like to know how many gauges I can install in my boat, like temperature, tilt and trim position, because I see a couple of wires that don't seem to go any where, like a brown and a light brown/white stripe, these go alongside with the wires that power the tilt pump, and the manual doesn't seem to explain this eather. Can someone help me. Thanks. Bill

You can add as many gauges as you want. The Brown/w white stripe is the wire for the trim gauge. Make sure you have a trim sender installed first. Some came with it, some didn't. Temperature gauge can be added easily, as can a water pressure gauge. Most come with instructions and will have what you need. Below is a good site to get you aquainted with installing them..
