Tell me about rude people! I was in Kansas last Saturday and this jerk turned my pump off while I was putting gas.... What a retard!!!!

HA! that ain't nothing...

I was coming home yesterday and saw a kid go from the right turn ONLY lane at an intersection,,, straight through the intersection and cut off traffic to merge back in. Crappy little illegal move he pulled to get a few cars further up in traffic.









Several miles later I pull up to the 2 lane freeway on ramp and OHHH great, speed racer is right next to me. Traffic in his lane was slow as molasses and I was 3-4 cars ahead of him by the time these 2 lanes merged. I was looking to merge onto the freeway and something catches my peripheral vision on the right... Yeah, it's speed racer illegally blowing by everyone on the right shoulder when he should have merged 100 yards back. As I see him trying to force his way in front of me, the testosterone kicks in and I don't back off the truck in front of me. He squeezes the front end of his car in between the truck and I as I instinctively give him the 1 finger salute. He instinctively SLAMS ON HIS BRAKES. Yes, there was probably about .000001" separation between our vehicles when I stopped.

Traffic starts moving again and he's back in perfect form, cutting off other drivers and trying his best to crunch up his new car.

I was totally pissed and saw that he took my exit, so chances are, I will see this little piece of excrement sooner or later. I was plotting what kind of revenge I should enact on this guy if I ever caught him, but after thinking about it, karma is going to catch up with him and bite a much larger chunk out of his back side than I could ever think about.

It's tough letting someone walk all over you (especially when you have seen the same person doing this to others), but in hind sight I should have backed off, let him in and shouldn't have used the one finger salute.

Either that or I should have just punched it and crushed his new car

That's when you're supposed to swerve to the shoulder to avoid what looked like a child in the middle of the road. If you hit him, he still has to pay for it, if you don't hit him, it'll only be because he went into a ditch. It's what I like to call, a win-win.

Life's too short. Stupid people do stupid things. Let 'em merge. Yeah, it makes everybody angry, but they'll end up in the ditch sometime, somewhere. It just isn't worth it...

Maybe true BUT: You've just allowed this jerk to succeed in being a jerk and his stupid actions would be rewarded according to your thinking.

I absolutey hate the wrong lane speeders who attempt to pass the patient people in the correct lane. The setting being: right lane closed 1 mile ahead. Drivers slow and get in the left lane and move slowly forward. There are always the idiots that stay in the right lane,passing everybody, and then attempt to merch at the last instance into the left lane. I will NOT let those a-holes cut in front of me.

Jerks are jerks. I can't undo whatever turns someone into a jerk by squeezing them in a merge situation. I can only endanger myself and my vehicle. When the day is done, the guy'll still be a jerk, but I and my vehicle will be just fine.

It's not my job to educate jerks, and it's impossible anyhow. I can't control other people, but I can control myself. That's my choice. Your mileage may vary.

I'm the idiot in the dually truck blocking both lanes. This drives me nuts too.


On the flip side, I went to the lake once last year over a holiday weekend. THe trafic was so busy that the traffic was stopped about five miles before the exit. I had no idea the exit was even that close, and didn't put two and two together. As sonn as I saw the sign and realized what was going on, I tried to merge into the line of cars, but nobody would let me in. There was a few miles of cars still, but I was sitting out in the highway trying to merge onto the breakdown lane. Finally after scaring a few drivers coming over the hill, I accelerated and went to the exit and waited.One lady was hanging out of her SUV flipping me off as I drove by. I felt awful, but had no idea what I was doing. In hindsight, I should have gone up one exit and circled back on the highway and taken the same exit from the other direction. There was no traffic that way.

Here in NJ our Mandated gas attendant would have told that errant customer to wait in line. Or he probly just would not have done such a thing. and we still have the cheapest gas in the country.

I agree with this quote. Last weekend the exact same thing happened to me but at the dock instead of a gas pump. It was a major breach of social etiquette, it pissed me off, I kept it to myself and ten minutes later got over it.

I figured any comment from me to this bonehead would be like casting pearls before swine and did not waste too much of my life worrying about it.

Well, I imagine that most people (even on here) never even think of this one (I know I didn't until I got a diesel). It doesn't really make me mad, but irritates the crap outta me when I pull into a gas station around here that has 12 pumps (gasoline) and two of those pumps have diesel on them along with unleaded. NOBODY will be at the gas station except 2 people, both getting gas at the pumps that have diesel....Arrgh! I never say anything, but there were 10 other pumps they could have used. BTW...It's the only gas station with diesel on my way home from work until I get close to home. It's about 30 miles to the next diesel stop that isn't out of my way. People cutting me off when I have been patiently waiting however does get my blood boiling.
