I am re building a 3.0l mercruiser inline 4 mainly due to a bad manifold
, and i was wondering if this engine had a automotive counter part for which i could pick up parts at places such as O'Reilys, etc. I know that items such as the water pump and head gasket need to be marine items and thats all fine but i hate having to order stuff like an oil pan gasket or a valve cover gasket and front and rear seals when i could run down the street and get them. I think that GM did not have the 3.0 version for cars but is the 2.5 the same block and ancillarys as the 3.0? Any help would be appreiciated greatly
.
Also does anyone have a recommendation for a company that sells engine parts at the best prices.?
